Information regarding Township tRANSFER sTATION

West Branch Township provides a transfer station for residents to drop off trash from residential use. The hours of operation are Wednesday and Saturday from 9 AM TO 1 PM and below is a list of the cost breakdown for use of the station.

  • Truck Trailer loads - 11-15 bags $20.00, 16-20 bags $30.00

  • Electronics are not excepted at the transfer station.

  • Bags and Containers - Container $4.00, Kitchen Bag $1.00, 33 Gallon Bag $2.00, and large 50 plus gallon $2.50

  • Mattresses - All Mattresses are $15.00

  • NOT ACCEPTED ITEMS - Building Materials, Water Heaters, Refrigerators, Stuffed Chairs, Electronics, Box springs and Hazardous Materials

Recycling Option - The West Branch Recycling Center is located behind the car wash on N. 4th St. in the City of West Branch.  This service is free to all Township residents.  You must present your recycling card each time you use the facility. The Recycling Center is open on: Tuesday: 2 pm - 6 pm and Saturday: 9 am - 1 pm

Important Information

  • Township Board meetings are the Second Wed. of the Month at the West Branch Township Hall at 6pm

  • Most Township Records, Documents, Maps, Budgets, and any other information can be gathered by filling out an FOIA (freedom of information act ) request form.

  • Individuals with disabilities requiring special needs can contact Ryan Veeder (Clerk) @ (989) 345-5450 ext. 2, not less than four (4) days prior to the meeting.
